The Ondo State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services was in created in 1976, before then, it used to be Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, when the newly created Ondo State was carved out of the Western State in Nigeria.
On `12th July, 2019, the Ministry was dubbed agency via communiqué from the Service Matters Department of the Office of the Head of Service, Governor’s Office, though it was stated expressly it would continue to perform the activities of the Ministry.
On 14th July, 2012, the Agency was later renamed as Ondo State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives Services.
